The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate issued a statement on a viral video which was circulated on social media of a group of people assaulting and kidnapping someone in Amman Sunday.

The events happened after a quarrel erupted between people with criminal records and the spokesperson explained that the kidnapped man was left alone shortly after the events in the video.

The victim reported to the police that he had a previous dispute with these people, which led to the assault.

The vehicle used by the individuals was seized and search warrants were issued.
