Jordan records eight deaths and 790 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded eight deaths and 790 new coronavirus cases Friday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 812,253.

The death toll has risen to 10,594.

The cases are:

-332 in Amman

-113 in Zarqa

-71 in Irbid

-52 in Balqa

-41 in Karak

-40 in Jerash

-31 in Ajloun

-29 in Ma'an

-27 in Mafraq

-18 in Tafilah

-14 in Ramtha

-11 in Aqaba

-10 in Madaba

-One in Petra

A total of 80 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 82 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are 507 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

There are a total of 12,428 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 25,406 PCR tests were conducted.

Friday, 3.11 percent of PCR tests came back positive in comparison to 3.22 percent Thursday.
