A wife stabbed her husband in the back with a sharp object in Irbid Monday night following disputes between them, the Public Security Directorate (PSD) announced Tuesday.

The PSD added that the man, who is in his seventies, was taken to Yarmouk Hospital to receive treatment. His health condition was described as moderate.

The PSD said the wife was arrested and will be transferred to the judiciary.

Investigations into the incident have been launched.
