The Israeli Occupation police intend to file an indictment against the prisoners who were rearrested for planning what the occupation called a ‘sabotage’ operation and they will be sentenced to up to 15 years imprisonment.

Additionally, they could be sentenced for up to 20 years imprisonment for helping others escape from the prison.

According to the Hebrew website Haaretz, the decision of the Israeli Occupation police is based on the fact that the prisoners had planned to carry out the operation after the escape.

Saturday evening, the magistrates' court in Nazareth discussed extending the detention of the four prisoners - Zakariye Zubeidi, Muhammad Ardah, Yaqoub Qadri and Mahmoud Arda for another 13 days.

For his part, Zubeidi's lawyer said “We rejected the Israeli [Occupation] police's request to extend his detention for another 13 days, and we reject the charges against him.”

He continued “It is true that he escaped from prison, but this is a natural reaction.”

The lawyer added during a press conference, “I came to defend Zakariye Zubeidi, and we reject the request and accusations of the police and the Israeli [Occupation] prosecution.”

The search for the other two escapees continues.

According to the Israeli Occupation, one of the prisoners is in the West Bank and the other is still in the 1948 territories.

Saturday morning, Hebrew media announced that two more Palestinians who escaped Gilboa prison last Monday were found and arrested.

The two Palestinians are Zakariye Zubeidi and Muhammad Ardah.

This came hours after the Israeli Occupation arrested Yaqoub Qadri and Mahmoud Arda.

Sept. 6, six Palestinians escaped Israeli Occupation Gilboa prison in the north of the country.

Gilboa prison is considered one of Israeli Occupation’s most secure facilities, due to the heavy fortification and the security procedures followed inside it.
