Saturday, The Commission for Detainees and Ex-Prisoners Affairs said its legal team is going to great lengths to find out the conditions and fates of the four prisoners who have been recaptured after escaping five days ago from Gilboa prison.

The commission said the lawyers are still not allowed to see the prisoners or where they are currently held.

The commission held the Israeli Occupation fully responsible for the lives and safety of the four prisoners; Mahmoud Arda, 46, Muhammad Ardah, 39, Yaqoub Qadri, 49, Zakariye Zubeidi, 46.

Zubeidi was photographed visibly injured after his arrest, Israeli Occupation authorities claim he resisted the arrest.

In a statement issued by the commission they said that the recapture will not weaken the prisoners' resolve and morale.

Zakariye Zubeidi and Muhammad Ardah were arrested Saturday at dawn, a few hours after the capture of Yaqoub Qadri and Mahmoud Arda.

Hebrew media said that the prisoners received no help after their escape and had nowhere to go.

The head of the commission, Qadri Abu Bakr, called on the international community and human rights organizations to assume their responsibilities and urgently intervene to provide protection for the prisoners in accordance with all international and humanitarian covenants.

The escape came as a massive blow to the Israeli Occupation and its security system, which was criticized for its failure and officials described the prison break as embarrassing and because ‘inexperienced people are appointed to sensitive positions.’
