Thursday, the first shipment of Iraqi oil arrived in Jordan, in implementation of the new agreement signed between the two countries to supply the Kingdom with 3.7 million oil barrels at a rate of 10,000 barrels per day.

According to the company that supplied the oil, the agreed oil deliveries meet 10 percent of Jordan's daily need for oil and its derivatives.

Oil shipments are loaded from Baiji refinery in Iraq's Salah al-Din Governorate to Jordan Petroleum Refinery Company (JPRC) in Zarqa city, delivered by 800 Jordanian and Iraqi fuel tankers, using door-to-door delivery service, the company added.
