Israeli Occupation bans family visits for Palestinian prisoners until end of September

The Red Cross office in Palestine reported Thursday, that due to recent events, the Israeli Occupation has canceled family visits for all Palestinian prisoners until the end of the month. 

The announcement comes as part of a wider, harsh crackdown on Palestinian prisoners which many say constitutes abuse and a violation of the prisoners' rights.  

Meanwhile, Israeli Occupation authorities are continuing their search for the six Palestinian prisoners who escaped from Gilboa prison Monday.

Their whereabouts are still unknown. 

The IOF said: "The army forces continue to assist in the pursuit and tracing of security prisoners who escaped from Gilboa prison."

Authorities have set up checkpoints close to the prison and the roads leading to the West Bank, and is also raiding several Palestinian villages in the northern West Bank. 

The Israeli Occupation media reported that the prison authorities summoned reinforcements from the special forces to the Negev desert prison in an attempt to control the prisoners who set fire to cells Wednesday. n.

The Prisoners Authority issued a statement saying that the attacks on the prisoners are entering a very dangerous stage and are heading towards a very big escalation.
