Sunday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates expressed its deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the government and people of Egypt, over the victims of a bus accident on the Suez-Cairo road, which resulted in a number of deaths and injuries.

The official spokesperson for the ministry, Haitham Abu Al-Foul, expressed the Kingdom's solidarity with the government and people of Egypt and the families of the victims, and wished a speedy recovery for the injured.

At least 12 people were killed in Egypt Sunday when a bus carrying them from a Red Sea resort in Sharm El Sheikh to Cairo overturned, according to medical and security sources.

The bus overturned about 110 km from Cairo, on the road linking the city of Suez to the Egyptian capital.

About three dozen others were injured.

The injured were taken to Suez General Hospital, according to a medical source.
