Sept. 1, a YouTuber shared a video on his channel which showed an image of a distress signal in a desert located in Ma'an, Jordan.

According to the video, the message, which is visible from Google Earth, says “SOS STRANDED” in huge letters. The written message is about 150ft wide.

The YouTube user said that an individual sent him the location of the desert in which these words were written on.

The YouTuber said "We are going over to southern Jordan, north of Saudi Arabia, east of Egypt, south of the [Israeli Occupation], out in a remote desert.

"The configuration of letters can only be seen from the sky – by an airplane, a satellite or clear up from space – and again, whoever did this, used English alphabets over there in southern Jordan.”

According to the user, the size of the word "STRANDED" is around 150ft long with the letter "S" measuring about 27 feet tall and the "SOS" configuration is more than 50ft long.

He said that this image goes back to 2019. However, according to him, he has no further details.

He continued "If we go down a little bit more, we can see two more letters that appear to spell 'NO'. You can see tracks in this location but I don't know how to identify these tracks."

The YouTuber added that the Google Earth user was unable to confirm if it was a road in the desert or not, as the tracks are scattered all over the place.

This has sparked interest from thousands of viewers.

A person wrote in the comment section on the YouTube video "Has anyone reported it to authorities? They could still be there. I would love to know if they are okay."

Another said "It's stories like this that really help to remind me that nothing in life is certain, don't take anything for granted."

However, some suggested the written message could be left by soldiers during their military missions in the desert.
