Sunday, the security services opened an investigation after an infant died as a result of being left in the car for hours in Zarqa.

The mother, who works in a government institution, said she forgot her child for a period of time in the vehicle instead of bringing her to the institution's nursery. When she came back to the vehicle, she found her daughter dead.

Investigations are ongoing.
