Wednesday, the Chinese authorities approved the emergency use of the Sinopharm coronavirus vaccine for those aged between 13 and 17.

Since the beginning of the coronavirus vaccination campaign in China, around 1.9 billion doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered.

Aug. 2, the United Arab Emirates announced that it will be offering the Chinese Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine for children aged between three and 17.

This came after clinical trials and “extensive evaluations... based on the emergency use authorization and local evaluations which are in line with the approved regulations,” the NCEMA tweeted.
