Wednesday, a member of the Board of Trustees at the National Center for Human Rights (NCHR), Ibrahim Al-Bdour, called on the Ministry of Health to give the Pfizer vaccine to those who received the Chinese vaccine.

He added that the majority of the infected individuals with the Delta strain, are within those who were vaccinated with the Sinopharm coronavirus vaccine.

Bdour indicated that the majority of studies confirmed that two doses of the Pfizer vaccine protect the individual from the Delta strain by around 89 percent. However, according to him, there are no studies on the efficacy of the Chinese vaccine and its protection rates against the Delta strain.

He said that vulnerable people and those who have been vaccinated with the Chinese vaccine should be given two doses of the Pfizer vaccine, instead of giving it to those aged between 12-18.
