Belbisi: Mandatory PCR tests will soon come at the expense of the citizen

The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Health Dr. Adel Al-Belbisi said Friday that coronavirus tests for those who do not want to receive the vaccine will be, in the coming months, at the expense of the citizen.

Currently, the Ministry of Health pays for the mandatory periodic testing of those who do not want to receive the vaccine.

Dr. Adel Al-Belbisi said during his hosting of Nabd al Bald that Jordan’s situation in terms of vaccines is good, as more than 40,000 people were vaccinated Saturday alone, with more than 500,000 doses administered this past week.

He added to Roya that the Public Health Law allows the Minister of Health to mandate vaccines, but the government prefers people to choose to be vaccinated instead.

He further revealed to Roya that there will be no return to the comprehensive lockdown, which has become a thing of the past.
