Jordan records eight deaths and 1,213 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded eight deaths and 1,213 new coronavirus cases Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 767,327.

The death toll has risen to 9,979.

The cases are:

-583 in Amman

-273 in Zarqa

-106 in Irbid

-47 in Balqa

-36 in Karak

-36 in Jerash

-33 in Tafilah

-24 in Madaba

-23 in Aqaba

-19 in Ajloun

-15 in Mafraq

-11 in Ma'an

-Five in Ramtha

-Two in Petra

A total of 70 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 49 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 9m036 active COVID-19 cases.

There are 535 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 26,183 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 8,401,152.

Tuesday, 4.63 percent of PCR tests came back positive in comparison to 4.26 percent on Monday.
