Jordan records eight deaths and 1,131 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded eight deaths and 1,131 new coronavirus cases Monday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 766,114.

The death toll has risen to 9,971.

The cases are:

-538 in Amman

-157 in Zarqa

-122 in Irbid

-59 in Balqa

-54 in Ajloun

-40 in Jerash

-33 in Tafilah

-28 in Mafraq

-26 in Madaba

-24 in Ma'an

-19 in Aqaba

-19 in Karak

-10 in Ramtha

-Two in Petra

A total of 67 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 50 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 8,424 active COVID-19 cases.

There are 522 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 26,556 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 8,374,969.

Monday, 4.26 percent of PCR tests came back positive in comparison to 4.44 percent on Sunday.
