All Saudi Arabian citizens will be required to have had two coronavirus vaccine doses before traveling outside the Kingdom, Saudi press Agency (SPA) reported Monday.

The decision will be implemented for all citizens, starting Aug. 9.

A source from the Ministry of Interior confirmed that those under the age of 12 are excluded from this decision.

The source pointed out that the decision also excludes those who have recovered from the coronavirus, provided that they have recovered from it at least six months ago.

Additionally, those who were infected with the virus and received one dose of the vaccine, are excluded from the decision.

Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, Saudi Arabia has confirmed 509,576 cases and 8,075 deaths.

Saudi Arabia began its national coronavirus vaccination campaign on Dec. 17.
