Minister of State for Media Affairs Sakher Dudin Thursday expressed his hope that Eid al-Adha will not turn into a problem, due to citizens' lack of commitment to health procedures and protocols.

Dudin called on citizens to abide by defense orders during the Eid period, indicating that the government will tighten control. He said during a statement to Hayat FM radio on Thursday: "We want citizens to enjoy Eid while following health and safety procedures, and we count on the awareness of the educated, committed citizen."

He said Jordan is now enjoying a safe summer and that all sectors are open, stressing that the government is proceeding with its plan to fully open everything at the beginning of September. Regarding the return to face-to-face education in schools, Dudin reiterated that it will be done by the beginning of the new school year.
