Wednesday, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education for Administrative and Financial Affairs Najwa Qubailat spoke about the return to in-person education in Jordan.

In a statement to Roya, Qubailat said that the Ministry of Education started a vaccination campaign on May 4, aiming at vaccinating all the educational staff.

She added that 83 percent of teachers and administrators have already been fully vaccinated against the coronavirus.

Qubailat indicated that the Ministry of Health is currently working on training health officials in the Ministry of Education to enable them to conduct a PCR test.

She also added that the Ministry of Education has developed a plan to prepare a health protocol that organizes the safe return to schools in September.

Qubailat lastly stressed that students will return to in-person education Sept. 1.

Tuesday, the Minister of State for Media Affairs Sakher Dudin said that students will return to school on Sept .1, stressing that "there is no turning back on that."
