Monday, the Tunisian President Kais Saied received his first dose of the coronavirus vaccine.

"We will not lose the war [against the coronavirus]. We will not lose the war. We will fight it with our means, with our will and with our skills," Saied said.

Sunday, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces, directed the provision of 500,000 doses of the coronavirus vaccine to Tunisia. This came in order to help Tunisia combat the coronavirus pandemic.

Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, Tunisia has confirmed 497,613 cases and 16,388 deaths.
