Ministry of Education releases statement about physics exam

The Ministry of Education said Friday that a technical committee was formed of nine professors and supervisors specialized in physics to follow up on impressions and observations Thursday regarding the difficulty of the physics Tawjihi exam. The committee worked through the night to gain an understanding of the preliminary results of the exam.

The technical committee analyzed the questions and looked at the number of correct answers, and made sure that the questions were from within the curriculum, and it was found that the time allotted to answer some questions was insufficient, and that there were a number of questions were very difficult, leading only a small number of students to get full marks.

The ministry indicated that this was presented to specialists in the science of measurement and evaluation, as the observations made by the Technical Committee were statistically processed in a way that achieves the interest of the students and justice among them.

The ministry confirmed that the success rates for physics were at a level equal to or higher than the average success rates in the past ten years.

The Ministry reassures its students and invites them to focus on their upcoming exams, and not pay attention to what is published about previous exams.
