The Chinese Ambassador to Jordan, Chen Chuandong, stressed Thursday that the Jordanian-Chinese relations are characterized by strength, and that Jordan is a country open to all cultures, including the Chinese culture.

This came during talks held by the Minister of Culture, Ali Al-Ayed, on Thursday, with the Chinese ambassador, on ways of cooperation in the cultural field and revitalizing cultural agreements between the two friendly countries.

Al-Ayed stressed the distinguished relations that bind the two countries, not only in cultural matters, but at all levels, stressing the ministry's keenness to activate cultural agreements with China.

He added that culture is one of the important fields linking Jordan with China, and is based on a human cultural heritage based on mutual respect, and a long history.

The Chinese ambassador expressed his country's readiness to cooperate in various fields, especially cultural ones, because of their belief that culture is the nation's face and image to the world.

It is noteworthy that Jordan signed the first cultural agreement with the People's Republic of China in 1979, followed by the signing of several executive programs, the last of which was the executive program of the cultural agreement for the years 2019-2022, which entered into force from the date of its signing.
