Jordan offers condolences to victims of Russian plane crash

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs expressed its sincere condolences to the government and people of the friendly Russian Federation over the victims of the crash of a passenger plane in the Kamchatka Territory in the far east of the country.

The crash resulted in the death of all 28 passengers onboard, including the crew members.

The Ministry affirmed the Kingdom's solidarity with the government and people of Russia during this painful time, and offered its sincere condolences to the families of the victims.

Earlier Tuesday, Russian emergency services announced the loss of contact with a plane with 28 people on board.

The Russian Emergencies Ministry reported the plane took off on a flight to the town of Palana in Kamchatka.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Emergencies stated that six crew members and 21 passengers, including one child, were on board, adding that a helicopter and rescuers of the Ministry of Emergencies launched the search operation.
