The US Embassy in Jordan denied Tuesday all rumors about a meeting between the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and the US Ambassador and diplomat, Henry Wooster.

In statements, the embassy's spokesperson Sherrill Collins, said that the article published on the Saudi 'Elaph' website is incorrect, and the ambassador did not have any meeting or conversation with President Abbas in Amman.

June 30, Abbas flew into Jordan. The purpose of his trip was to meet with His Majesty King Abdullah II.

The aim of their meeting was to discuss the latest political developments in the region, and to emphasize the continuation of coordination in positions to serve the interests of the Palestinian cause.
