A medical source revealed Saturday the cause behind the death of a man in his sixties last week, after receiving the second dose of the AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine.

The source confirmed that the man died due to a sudden heart failure. The source stressed that the vaccine has nothing to do with his death.

The source told Alrai Newspaper that after an autopsy was conducted, it was revealed that the deceased suffered from several diseases such as heart problems, in addition to blood pressure and diabetes.

Per a June 27 Ministry of Health (MoH) statement,  preliminary information indicated that the deceased received the first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine on April 4, and got an appointment for the second dose on June 27 which is 12 weeks after the first dose.
