The Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Nayef Al-Fayez confirmed Friday, that declaring the Golden Triangle (Aqaba, Wadi Rum and Petra) a green area will help attract tourism to the region.

During his participation on Roya's Helwa Ya Donya program, Fayez said that the Ministry of Tourism is working hand-in-hand with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to declare Jordan a green area, noting that the epidemiological situation is under control, which are positive indicators for attracting tourism.

He pointed out that the ministry is also working to promote Jordan and take advantage of the coming autumn season, noting that spring and autumn are the two seasons in which Jordan witnesses the most foreign tourism.

Fayez noted that tourists enjoy Jordanian weather, pointing out that many tourists compare the weather to the neighboring Mediterranean countries, especially when visiting the sea or water bodies.
