Palestine confirms 20 new cases of Delta COVID-19 variant

Wednesday, the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kaila announced the registration of 20 new cases of the Delta COVID-19 variant in the country.

The new infections bring the total number of those infected with the Indian coronavirus strain in Palestine to 22.

Kaila added in a press statement that the new infections were discovered in Ramallah and al-Bireh, Jericho and al-Aghwar, Tulkarm, Hebron, Nablus, Salfit, Qalqilya, and in suburbs of Jerusalem.

She lastly called on citizens to register to receive the coronavirus vaccine.

Palestine confirmed one death and 154 new coronavirus cases Wednesday.

A total of 504,027 individuals received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, including 364,170 who received both doses.
