The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) withdrew from the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem Tuesday, and worked to remove the barriers that were blocking the entrances to the neighborhood.

The Israeli Occupation imposed a siege and closure on Sheikh Jarrah since the end of the month of Ramadan, about two months ago.

Sheikh Jarrah in Israeli Occupation-annexed east Jerusalem shot to recent world attention, due to the displacement of Palestinians from their homes in favor of settlers.

In turn, protests occurred, which caused the Israeli Occupation to committ several acts of aggression towards residents and pro-Palestinian activists in order to suppress their right to free speech and to disable activists from revealing the Zionist agenda.

According to the Jordanian Foreign Minister, Ayman Safadi, "Jerusalem is a city of peace, which the Israeli Occupation has turned into a place for oppression, displacement and humiliation."
