A group of academics in public universities were surprised when Crown Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah entered a meeting that brought them together with the King’s Advisor for Tribal Affairs, Atef Al-Hajaya, to discuss the role and contributions of universities in presenting development initiatives in a scientific framework that serves the areas where universities are located.

The Crown Prince asked the attendees to complete their discussion, as he sat listening to them.

He called on everyone to remain comfortable in presenting what they saw as appropriate ideas and initiatives.

The Crown Prince listened for more than 20 minutes before asking permission to complete his regular daily program.

His Highness directed the King's Advisor for Tribal Affairs to the importance of continuing such meetings.

The attendees discussed several topics related to national identity, the concept of tribes and its political and social role, the importance of strengthening the role of youth and empowering them, and promoting development outside Amman and in the governorates.

They also discussed business and leadership initiatives, the role of scientific research in community service, and fighting rumors that target the nation's image.
