Friday, the Center for Communicable Diseases in Mafraq witnessed a huge turnout for COVID-19 vaccination. Among those who got vaccinated are individuals who were given appointments, as well as people over 50 years of age who came without appointments based on the National Center for Security and Crisis Management's (NCSCM) announcement earlier Friday.
The head of the Communicable Diseases Department Nidal Mhaibesh told Roya that this is an opportunity for many citizens to get vaccinated on their day off.
He explained that the NCSCM instructed them to vaccinate anyone over 50 years of age without appointments and without registering on the Ministry of Health's official onlineCOVID-19 vaccination platform.
He noted that up until Friday noon 150 got vaccinated in Mafraq and said he expects more people to come later on.
