Wednesday, the Directorate of Trade and Industry of Mafraq announced that a total of 348 violations were issued against commercial stores and individuals since the beginning of this year.

The director of Mafraq's trade and industry directorate, Ali Al-Sayahin, said that the violations were:

- 100 violations against individuals defied Defense Law

- 240 violations against commercial stores for failure to announce prices

- Eight violations for increasing prices above price caps

Sayahin called for everyone to abide by the defense orders and the laws of industry and commerce, which in turn, would have a positive impact on all of society.

The head of the market monitoring department in the directorate, Sohair Ghandour, said that there is a committee headed by the Directorate of Industry and Trade, members of the Chamber of Commerce, and the directorates of labor and health, to ensure compliance with public safety conditions and health protocols for the sectors in which work is permitted, noting that field visits to these facilities are continuing in an orderly manner.
