Jordan records 13 deaths and 522 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 13 deaths and 522 new COVID-19 cases Thursday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 743,366.

The death toll has risen to 9,635.

The cases are:

- 242 in Amman

- 94 in Zarqa

- 87 in Irbid

- 18 in Balqa

- 17 in Jerash

- 16 in Aqaba

- 12 in Ma'an 

- 11 in Mafraq

- Nine in Ajloun

- Seven in Karak

- Five in Tafilah

- Four in Madaba

A total of 63 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 62 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 6,845 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 494 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 728,886.

There are 489 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 21,212 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 7,628,372.

Thursday, 2.46 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to two percent on Wednesday.
