The former Minister of Health and former head of the Epidemiological Assessment Committee, Dr. Saad Al-Kharabsheh, criticized the Ministry of Health’s statements that about 15,000 people were infected with Corona in Jordan after receiving the vaccine.

Kharabsheh said, in a tweet: "When the Ministry of Health announces incomplete news that 15,000 Jordanians have contracted corona after vaccination, this may lead to a misunderstanding of it and to more people's reluctance to receive the vaccine."

Kharabsheh indicated that this matter needs clarification and scientific analysis to convince people that vaccination is still effective.

He concluded his tweet, "I see that this announcement was basically unnecessary."

The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Health for Epidemiology and Communicable Diseases Affairs, responsible for the Corona file, Dr. Adel Al-Belbisi, had earlier said that about 15,000 people were infected with COVID-19 in Jordan after receiving the Corona vaccine.

Al-Belbisi said, during press statements, that about 12,000 people were infected with the coronavirus after receiving the first dose of the vaccine, out of 1.9 million people, while 3,000 people were infected with the virus after receiving the second dose out of 700,000 people.
