Jordan records eight deaths and 467 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded eight deaths and 467 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 744,844.

The death toll has risen to 9,622.

The cases are: 

- 252 in Amman

- 63 in Zarqa

- 56 in Irbid, including three in Ramtha

- 21 in Karak

- 16 in Balqa

- 15 in Mafraq

- 11 in Aqaba

- 10 in Tafilah

- Eight in Ajloun

- Six in Madaba

- Four in Jerash

- Two in Ma'an

A total of 76 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 60 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 6,956 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 633 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 728,266.

There are 501 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 23,349 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 7,607,160.

Wednesday, two percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 2.47percent on Tuesday.
