Jordan records 12 deaths and 500 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 12 deaths and 500 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 744,377.

The death toll has risen to 9,614.

The cases are:

- 236 in Amman

- 85 in Zarqa

- 81 in Irbid, including six in Ramtha

- 22 in Mafraq

- 16 in Balqa

- 14 in Karak

- 14 in Ajloun

- Nine in Aqaba

- Seven in Tafilah

- Six in Jerash

- Two in Madaba

- Two in Ma'an

A total of 53 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 50 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 7,093 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 604 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 727,670.

There are 494 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 20,236 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 7,583,811.

Tuesday, 2.47 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 2.78 percent on Monday.
