Tuesday, the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) attacked several Palestinians in the Bab Al-Amoud area, Occupied Jerusalem and arrested two young men ahead of the Israeli Occupion's planned Flag March through Occupied Jerusalem's Old City later Tuesday.

They attacked Palestinians with batons and forced them to evacuate the gate area, which is one of the oldest gates in the Old City.

Notably, two people were detained and taken to an interrogation center.

Reportedly, the IOF also closed off all entrances to Bab al-Amoud area, prevented Palestinians from entering or leaving, and forced establishment owners to close their shops ahead of the march.

The IOF reinforced its presence and raised levels of alert throughout the occupied city, especially in the Old City, amid calls by Palestinian factions in the West Bank and the 1948 occupied land, to confront the so-called Flag March, which will be carried out in the evening by thousands of extremist Zionist settlers.
