Tuesday, the Petra regional authority's chief commissioner, Suleiman Al-Farajat, announced the instructions that will be implemented to allow visitors to enter the Pink City, Petra, starting from the beginning of July.

Farajat said that the visitor is required to obtain at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine to enter the Pink City.

Sunday, the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) called on Jordanians to get vaccinated against coronavirus in order to prevent further spreading of the virus.

ASEZA said that as of July 1, and based on government decisions, visitors will not be allowed into Aqaba through customs centers, Wadi Al-Yatam and Wadi Araba, border crossings or the airport, unless:

- They are fully vaccinated

- At least 21 days have passed since receiving the first dose of the vaccine.

- They have a negative PCR test conducted 72 hours before arrival for those over six years of age.
