India will reopen its famed Taj Mahal on Wednesday, after two months of coronavirus-related closures.

Social distancing will be imposed upon the reopening, as well as other preventative measures.

Uttar Pradesh, where the monument is located, has recently seen a downward trend in the number of coronavirus cases after India was hit hard in the spring.

The tourism industry near the Taj says it is excited to have tourists return, as the sector is deeply in need of a boost, like many tourism industries around the world.

The Taj Mahal is considered one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
