Monday, a woman practicing beggary in front of a medical clinic complex belonging to a hospital in Amman has been arrested.

The Ministry of Social Development said in a press statement that she was arrested after investigation teams found that she was scamming individuals, noting she owns two cars including a 2011 Mercedes freight trailer truck.

The ministry indicated she has a history of "mischief" and fraud.

The accused was referred to a security center to take the correct legal measures for such cases.

The ministry urged citizens not to abuse or sympathize with beggars in any way.
