Jordan records 10 deaths and 500 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 10 deaths and 500 new COVID-19 cases Sunday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 743,331.

The death toll has risen to 9,592.

The cases are:

- 238 in Amman

- 75 in Zarqa

- 55 in Irbid, including one in Ramtha

- 28 in Balqa

- 22 in Mafraq

- 17 in Karak

- 15 in Ma'an, including nine in Petra

- 12 in Jerash

- 12 in Ajloun

- 10 in Madaba

- Three in Tafilah

- Three in Aqaba

A total of 72 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 52 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 7,520 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 723 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 726,219.

There are 505 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 18,617 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 7,543,911.

Sunday, 2.69 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 1.9 percent on Saturday.
