Sunday, a campaign was launched targeting tourists from the Arab Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) counties, as authorities strive to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Tanafas," which means “Breathe,” is a campaign managed by the Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) and is primarily intended to promote the Kingdom as the best summer destination for GCC nationals.
"Jordan has a safe, diverse and rich tourist offering preferred by Arab Gulf tourists," Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Nayef al-Fayez said in a press release.
JTB Director-General Abdulrazzaq Arabiyat said that the title of the campaign reflects everyone's desire to move and travel freely.
According to Arabiyat, the campaign entails cooperation with GCC-based travel and tourism agents and includes the dissemination of leaflets and advertisements in commercial centers and on social media.
