Interior Minister Mazen Al-Faraya said Saturday that Jordan has reached the recovery stage of the coronavirus pandemic.
The minister said that the government made great efforts to build appropriate health capacities to deal with the pandemic, and formed a crisis cell in the National Center for Security and Crisis Management that included all state institutions and security services.
Al-Faraya indicated that more than a year after the pandemic, the health sector remains intact, as field hospitals were built and existing hospitals were strengthened.
In addition, the government took great measures, giving vaccinations and treating coronavirus patients at its expense, which contributed to reaching the stage of recovery.
As infections decreased and bed capacity increased, it became possible to administer vaccinations to about 100,000 people per day, he said.
