Al-Nadim Governmental Hospital in Madaba has launched a tender to expand the hospital's dialysis department.

The director of the hospital, Dr. Ibrahim Maayah, said, on Saturday, that the expansion tender will raise the capacity of dialysis beds from 15 to 25 beds.

He added that the hospital needs to be staffed with five resident internists and four general practitioners, and several dozen nurses to avoid the shortage of medical and nursing staff.

Al-Maayeh indicated that the hospital needs an ultrasound machine, an x-ray machine, a reader, and two urgent care ambulances instead of the current old cars.
