Jordan records five deaths and 310 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded five deaths and 310 new COVID-19 cases Saturday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 742,831.

The death toll has risen to 9,582.

The cases are:

-147 in Amman

-75 in Zarqa

-34 in Irbid, including four in Ramtha

-17 in Balqa

-10 in Mafraq

-Seven in Ma'an, including four in Petra

-Six in Karak

-Three in Ajloun

-Three in Jerash

A total of 58 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 39 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 7,692 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 672 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 725,557.

There are 495 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 16,346 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 7,525,294.

Saturday, 1.9 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 2.16 percent on Friday.
