Jordan records seven deaths, 343 new COVID-19 cases
Jordan records seven deaths, 343 new COVID-19 cases

Jordan recorded seven deaths and 343 new COVID-19 cases Friday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 742,521.

The death toll has risen to 9,577.

The cases are: 

- 155 in Amman

- 81 in Irbid, including three in Ramtha

- 38 in Zarqa

- 22 in Mafraq

- Nine in Ajloun

- Nine in Madaba

- Six in Balqa

- Six in Ma'an

- Five in Aqaba

- Four in Karak

- Four in Jerash

- One in Tafilah

A total of 68 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 54 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 7,862 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 480 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 725,082.

There are 484 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 15,916 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 7,508,948.

Friday, 2.16 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 2.21 percent on Thursday.
