71,000 received COVID-19 vaccine in Mafraq: health director

A total of 71,000 people have been vaccinated against the coronavirus in the Mafraq Governorate since the beginning of the vaccination campaign in Jordan on Jan. 13.

According to Mafraq's health director, Hani Elimat, the vaccination process was carried out at Chest Diseases Centres, Al-Khalidiya Health Centre, King Talal Military Hospital, Northern Badia Government Hospital and the Zaatari refugee camp as well as by mobile teams.

He called on citizens to register to receive the coronavirus vaccine and continue adhering to the required health and safety measures which include social distancing and wearing face masks.
