Jordan records 11 deaths and 655 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 11 deaths and 655 new COVID-19 cases Monday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 740,502.

The death toll has risen to 9,541.

The cases are:

-315 in Amman

-95 in Zarqa

-69 in Irbid, including five in Ramtha

-43 in Mafraq

-38 in Ma'an, including 12 in Petra

-16 in Karak

-15 in Balqa

-13 in Jerash

-10 in Aqaba

-Nine in Tafilah

-Eight in Madaba

-Seven in Ajloun

A total of 61 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 72 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 9,066 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 920 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 721,895.

There are 513 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 22,128 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 7,429,181.

Monday, 2.96 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 3.05 percent on Sunday.
