Britain's Queen Elizabeth II Sunday congratulated her grandson Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle on the birth of their daughter, Lilibet Diana. 

The congratulations appeared on Sunday night on Buckingham Palace's Instagram, and read: "Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on the birth of Lilibet Diana! The Queen and Prince of Wales Charles and Duchess of Cornwall Camilla, as well as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge William and Kate, are very happy with this news."

It is noteworthy that Elizabeth II became a great-grandmother for the eleventh time.

Prince Harry and his wife, Megan Markle, announced that their daughter was born Friday in Los Angeles, and the baby was named Lilibet Diana, after the late Princess Diana, the mother of Prince Harry and his brother Prince William.

Lilibit is the nickname of Queen Elizabeth II.
