Friday, the Minister of Health Feras Hawari said that Jordan will receive thousands of doses of the Johnson and Johnson (J&J) coronavirus vaccine.

March 1, the Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) approved the COVID-19 Johnson & Johnson vaccine for emergency use.

Since the beginning of the coronavirus vaccination campaign in the Kingdom on Jan. 13, Jordan has approved five vaccines for emergency use including Pfizer-BioNTech, Sinopharm, AstraZeneca, Sputnik V and J&J.

Earlier Friday, Hawari told Roya that a total of 1.6 million people received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine in Jordan.
