Crown Prince Foundation offers training for parents of children with disabilities

In recent days, the Crown Prince Foundation (CPF) organized training sessions in cooperation with the UAE's Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination (ZHO), which aims to assist the families of a number of children with disabilities, in which 50 participants from Jordan took part, according to the Jordan News Agency (Petra).

The e-sessions aim to prepare and facilitate families with children with disabilities, with the required skills that benefits both them and the child in acheiving a fulfilled and productive life.

Additionally, the sessions helped the families gain awareness while educating them on how to deal with their children in the most efficient way, and to help them tackle obstacles in a manner that benefits themselves and their communities.

There were two hour session a day over the course of four days.

They covered topics such as the use of pictures for receptive communication, how to deal with people with disabilities in adulthood, and early communication skills, especially through play.

The training was attended by the CEO of the CPF, Tammam Mango, the Emirate Ambassador to Jordan, Ahmed Ali Al Balushi and ZHO Secretary-General, Abdullah Al-Humaidan.
