Jordan receives 146,400 doses of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine through COVAX

Wednesday night, a shipment of 146,400 doses of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine arrived in Jordan, which the last one provided by the COVAX initiative to the Kingdom.

The shipment is funded by the European Union Syria Trust Fund's Health Emergency Project. 

With the latest shipment, Jordan has received a total of 436,800 doses of the coronavirus vaccines through the COVAX initiative.

COVAX is a partnership between the World Health  Organization (WHO), Gavi and CEPI, the vaccines for which are supplied by UNICEF.
